How To Cut The Excess Lace Of The Lace Front Wigs
When you have a new hair wig, no matter it is a Human Hair Wig or the Synthetic Human Hair Wig, it usually come with excess lace that hangs over the forehead. You must to trim it back into the wig to get the most natural looking. A steady hand, a good pair of scissors and much patience are needed when you do the process. The process will be shorter and a little easier than a full lace wig since a lace front wig does not reach all the way around to the nape of the neck.
Here are the tips you may follow when you cut the excess lace of the lace front wig.
Find the center of the front of the lace wig and slide the thin hair clip vertically to mark the position. The lace should be parted evenly on each side of the clip.
Use two large hair clips to clip the hair on either side of the center-marking clip back. This will keep any stray hairs of the lace wig from being cut.
Cut away the lace all around the front and sides of the lace wig using a long fluid scissors strokes to avoid the jagged edges. It is better t cut away small portions of the lace instead of all of it at once since cutting away too much lace may ruin the wig.
Remove the center-marking clip while keeping the hair of the lace wig clipped back and adjust the clips if necessary.
Cut the lace back towards the beginning f the hairline in the front. It should be cut back all the way to the hairline since the lace on the forehead will be the more visible. Pull the lace of the wig tight with your fingers while cutting to ensure even and smooth strokes.
Trim the sides of the lace front wig. It is necessary to cut the lace all the way back on the sides since this part is not as visible as the forehead area.
Double check the trimmed lace to ensure that there are no jagged edges. Make sure that the lace of the wig is cut completely even, especially around the forehead area.
